  On June 12, the "2026 China Auto Chongqing Forum," jointly organized by the CCPIT Automotive Industry Committee and the Chongqing International Automobile Exhibition Organizing Committee, grandly opened at the Chongqing Yuelai International Convention Center. Themed "Shaping the Future of the Industry in an Era of Transformation," the forum gathered global automotive industry leaders and elites to focus on key topics such as AI-empowered vehicles and industrial ecosystem restructuring, collectively discussing the future of the industry.

  Zhang Jingfeng, President of BICV Technology Co., Ltd.   During the core discussion, President Zhang Jingfeng first clarified his position: in the era of AI-defined vehicles, the defining hallmark of next-generation vehicles is the "cockpit-driving integrated AI agent." He pointed out that intelligent driving is a foundational capability, but users perceive it less directly; when autonomous driving becomes universally adopted, driving time will be freed, thereby generating massive demand for personalized services, with the cockpit serving as the core gateway for this experience. "If autonomous driving can be compared to the 'feet,' the cockpit to the 'torso, hands, and facial features,' then AI large models are the 'soul' of the vehicle," Zhang emphasized. Isolated, siloed functional modules cannot deliver a complete intelligent experience; cross-domain integration and cockpit-driving fusion are the inevitable industry trend.

  Regarding the profound transformation that the shift from "software-defined vehicles" to "AI-defined vehicles" brings to Tier 1 suppliers, Zhang systematically elaborated BICV's assessment and strategy across four dimensions:

  1. Architecture Reconstruction: Full-Stack Capabilities as the Foundation

  The industry is accelerating toward a "central computer + cloud-edge integrated" architecture, and the competitiveness of traditional single-domain Tier 1 suppliers is continuously weakening.   The industry's business model is undergoing a triple leap -- from purely selling hardware, to using software to build differentiation barriers, to leveraging AI technology to achieve "understanding users better than they understand themselves," ultimately driving "selling services" as the core profit model.

  4. Landscape Reshaping: Collaborative Co-Creation as the Mainstream

  Suppliers lacking cross-domain capabilities -- who understand only hardware but not AI -- will face increasing difficulties; whereas Tier 1 suppliers with deep technology accumulation and vehicle-mounted mass production advantages will form the mainstream collaborative partnerships with AI technology companies.
